International Airport Centers (IAC) was formed in 1995 to develop and hold a professionally managed portfolio of transportation-related cargo and warehouse distribution in strategic markets throughout the United States.
Between 1995 and 2003, IAC developed or acquired nearly 5 million square feet of property, all of which was located within +/- 1 mile of the cargo entrance of the major gateway airports in Los Angeles, Houston, Seattle, Detroit, Miami, Charlotte, Boston and New York (JFK). IAC subsequently sold the first portfolio to AMB (now Prologis) during a protracted sale from 2003 – 2005. Since that time, IAC recapitalized the company and began building a second portfolio. Between 2005 and 2016, IAC developed or acquired nearly 8 million square feet of property in major industrial warehouse/distribution markets throughout the United States.
